GET IN TOUCH

House inventory

We provide bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and tea towels. We supply toilet rolls and hand soaps but no other toiletries.

Heating, underfloor and central heating is included in the price. We also supply matches, firelighters and a bag of logs to get your first fires going. Further logs can be bought in the High Street or at local garages.

KITCHENS
The kitchens are big, workable, warm and well equipped, with plenty of space for chopping, chatting and cooking around the table. In both the Vestry and in Stonehouse there is a large range cooker, a fridge and small freezer and a dishwasher with a supply of dishwasher tablets. There is a microwave in The Vestry.

In both the Vestry and Stonehouse kitchens there is a fireplace to gather for a chat and a drink. The Vestry table seats up to eight and the table in Stonehouse can seat twelve to fourteen.

Cutlery, knives, chopping boards and basic cooking equipment is provided.

There is a supply of tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper for your use but you may need to buy more during your stay.

SITTING ROOMS
There is wifi available in both houses.
In the Vestry there is a smart TV where you can download and pay for films (please put money in an honesty box).
In Stonehouse there are two smart TVs, one in the garden sitting room and one in the sitting room which is open plan with the kitchen.
There are books, interiors magazines and some games available in each house but we recommend that you bring favourite games and books with you if you have small children.

BEDROOMS
There are three bedrooms in The vestry, one with a superking double bed and two twin/double zip and link beds sleeping a further two couples or four singles as required. There is also a small sofa bed in the garden sitting room of the vestry which can sleep one or two adults if necessary.

There are five bedrooms in Stonehouse, two large superking doubles and three further rooms with twin/double zip and link beds which can sleep three further couples or six singles. There are additional beds for children available in these rooms so that Stonehouse can sleep a maximum of 12.

BATHROOMS
The vestry has two bathrooms, one with a walk in shower and the other with a bath. There are three toilets, one on each floor.
Stonehouse has three bathrooms, two en suite with walk in showers and toielt and one family bathroom with a toilet, bath and handheld shower

BEDDING AND LAUNDRY
The beds will be made for your arrival unless otherwise detailed. Please strip your beds on departure.

There are washing machines in both The Vestry and Stonehouse. There are washing lines available for outside drying for both houses; in Stonehouse there is also a tumble drier.
There are irons and ironing boards in both houses.
There is a laundrette with service washes in the High Street in Fortuneswell, just a five minute walk away up the hill.

GARDENS and OUTSIDE SPACE
The Vestry has a walled terrace leading from the kitchen - this catches the afternoon and evening sun and is ideal for summer barbecues. It also has a small walled garden at the back of the house opening out from the sitting room. This catches the morning and afternoon sun and is a good spot for coffee.

Stonehouse has a wide south west facing veranda leading from the kitchen and sitting room, overlooking the rooftops and Chesil beach. It is a fabulous spot for evening drinks and barbecues and is everyone’s favourite hang out space. You will see some spectacular sunsets if you are lucky! There is also a small walled garden - a stretch of portland hillside - behind the house and accessed through the garden sitting room.  

PARKING
There is free parking available in a small car park opposite the church and there is free parking in all the nearby streets. In summer parking can be busy in which case you may pull up on the private ground to the right of the church.  

RUBBISH
There are rubbish bins to the right of the church. Please place bin bags in the general rubbish and recycle your bottles in the crates.
